Using these barrel codes to date a shotgun is somewhat unreliable, as shotgun barrels are often interchanged at random. One needs to be sure that the barrel is original to the gun before trusting the Barrel Code listing, above. (*) On 8/9/99, stopped stamping the barrels with the date code. They continued to mark the date code on the end flap of the shipping box. They resumed stamping the date code on the barrel on 10/1/01. Also http://oldguns.net/sn_php/remdates.php |

Jun 20, 2014 I'm looking at buying a used semi-auto shotgun, and I've always liked the older Remington 1100s. I've located a really nice one which is supposedly a 3' magnum. The barrel has a 3' chamber, but the info on the receiver suggests it is only for 2 3/4' shells - the receiver serial number ends with a 'V', and the receiver doesn't say 'magnum' anywhere. Remington rubber butt pad rates the same like new. Hard to find shotgun in this condition. Thanks for looking and good luck. Any questions just ask. NO SALES TO ALASKA,CALIFORNIA,OR HAWAII. $40.00 SHIPPING TO YOUR FFL. Need any more photos just ask. SOLD Shotgun Gauge: 20 Gauge Manufacturer: REMINGTON Model: 1100 LT20 Serial Number: N154556U.
